SOME FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS
The Empowerment Institute offers assistance to local team members, including financial grants in some cases. However, all permanent on site team members are expected to be able to stand financially in their own, and assistance primarily comes in the form of facility space, team synergy, and networking. Laboratory, shop, or greenhouse space; classroom or lecture hall time; kitchen facilities; convention room; meditation and isolation time; overnight accommodations; and other shared facilities should be scheduled with Support Services. Grant Applications can be obtained from the same office on from the Office of the Director. A list of outside grant sources for which the OMF mediates is also available.
Finder’s fees are awarded for new grant sources.
SECTION IV
MISCELLANEOUS
The Empowerment Institute will offer a limited number of in house residencies for qualified researchers in the empowerment sciences. These tyke the form of 1, 2 or 4 week blocks; single to family suites; room and board; and complete team membership and facility access for the duration of the activity (no stipend). Novel applications of economic principles, modern applications and integrations of ancient methods, and high impact empowerment strategies will be given priority in the application process. Application forms may be obtained through the Office of the Director, and must be filed at least three months in advance of the anticipated time of residency.
All team members are expected to have a strong open door policy for each other, in house students, und the inquiring public.
In keeping with the educational tenets of Utah Virtual University, all classroom sizes are small (excepting large symposia, film viewings, etc.), typically limited to less than 30 students or 15 student teams. Team members with empowering educational ideas that can fit into this format are encouraged to develop their ideas with Mount Olympus University or through the Office of the Director. If team members are teaching classes on their own and wish their students to receive academic credit through one of our academic affiliates, the instructors should file the appropriate paperwork as soon as possible, preferably before the start of class.
The SLC Empowerment Institute is the Hub and Overseer for the OMF network, though considerable flexibility will continue to be the norm throughout. Local area Empowerment Institutes may be started in any reasonably sized geographical area comprising roughly 500,000 people, or physically remote from other existing sites; and should be designed to meet the needs of population served. The primary State or Provincial Empowerment Institute will oversee activities of local satellite sites. Parties interested in starting a satellite site may file forms (found at the end of this brochure) with the National or Divisional Office for their region.
We request that all team members solicit expansions for our Wellness Enhancement Organization (High Touch WEO), as an alternative for existing insurance and HMO programs. Our database is rapidly expanding, and we have proven our ability to dramatically impact the bottom line of member organizations. Finder’s fees are available for this program, as for all other OMF financial programs.

WOMEN’S STUDIES PROGRAM
Director: DeVona Johnson
The Women’s Studies Program presently has a threefold focus:
I.) I Am A Woman, Knowing myself through a healthy body, an alive mind, an understanding heart and relationship with all things. Simplicity of Lifestyle Heals Me.
II.) I Am A Woman, Participating in the world, fulfilling my simplicity of purpose and developing my given intuition and talents. Simplicity of Product and Environment Heals the World.
III.) I Am A Woman, Creating a foundation to bring forth healthy children, healthy families, and a peaceful world. Simplicity of Generation Heals the World to Come.
These themes of knowing self, evolving personal health, participating in the world through our own personal gift, and creating healthy children, families, and a peaceful world; may be quickly and easily done through reducing the complexity in our lives in favor of a healthy simplicity of approach in our personal, community, and future lives.

The Empowerment Institute
EMPOWERES YOUTH
Director: Katherine Torgersen
The Empowerment Institute, a program division of The OPEN MIND FOUNDATION, is proud to announce the Empowered Youth program, planned and administered BY youth FOR youth. Adults serve only as resources and role models. Academic credit and resourcing are shared with the Rainbow Academy.
It is increasingly clear, as the social fabric of our world becomes ever more eroded and the cost of even minimal health care and living necessities rockets past our collective ability to pay, that a new attitude be taken. We cannot afford to pay for disease and repair, when empowerment is so much pore cost effective. This is especially true when attitudes of self-reliance, a respect for the Earth, and preventive health are learned early and well.
Working in close coordination with private and public school systems, youth clubs, Scouting, civic groups, and other youth organizations; The OPEN MIND FOUNDATION stands ready with educational, motivational, and physical resources to further the goals of Empowering Youth today for a strong tomorrow.
Two primary programs presently exist to further these foals. Others will be created as needed. Contact your local Empowerment Institute for details on your local program.
EMPOWERMENT FAIRS
In coordinated efforts with local schools, The Empowerment Institute professional youth staff and adult resource team will provide the following helps K - 12:
1.) Special topic assemblies are provided once a month per school during the school year. These cover nine individual areas of interest in any order. Subjects include practical ergonomics, ecolonomics, comprehensive health, substance awareness, physical fitness, safety, efficiency, civics, family and social skills, spiritual awareness, and others as chosen by the school. Each assembly is delivered multimedia with limited adult staff assistance.
2.) Teacher training sessions will be conducted by our combined professional staff for interested teachers in the topic of the month, so that teachers may serve as resources for the students under their care. Scheduling is flexible, usually involves 4 to 8 hours a month, includes handouts and project ideas appropriate for the school level, and may carry CEU credits for sessions arranged in advance with the School Boards.
3.) The Empowerment Institute wily assist intensively in setting up the school’s Empowerment Fair at the end of the school year (typically in May). Awards ranging from Certificates of Participation to exotic location trips and cash scholarships will be granted to qualifying students at each grade level in each major (monthly) category. Marketable products and processes developed through the course of the year and fair will be developed by the Empowerment Institute for profitable distribution in coordination with the sponsoring school and student(s), with equal profit sharing for involved parties. The top student per grade will be entered in the National all around competition, with one grand prize awarded per year per grade level.
4.) The Empowerment Institute serves as a comprehensive free resource pool alongside the Rainbow Academy for all public and private schools and students involved in the programs. Latchkey assistance programs are also available.

INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR FAMILIES
THE CORE OF A HEALTHY SOCIETY
DIRECTOR: CLAUDIA GOATES
MISSION STATEMENT:
To provide a model, reproducible program where the challenges of individuals and families can be better understood and solutions can be implemented faster and more effectively. Healing individuals in the context of their families automatically heals the greater community.
Families today face a multitude of problems, many of which are unique to this period of history. Agencies both public and private with the commission to assist families and enhance and protect family values are following agendas incompatible with their commission.
The IAF promotes rational family counseling and solutions through the enhancement of already well designed programs, provision of office space and other helps to special need organizations, coordination and mediation between family organizations with incompatible activities, the creation of family oriented educational and media products, the creation of family oriented resource centers, and other activities designed to promote healthy family in modern societies.

FOUNDATION FOR INDIGENOUS DEVELOPMENT (FID)
RESOURCES FOR ABORIGINAL EMPOWERMENT
DIRECTOR: FRED BOHMAN, ND
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
To rediscover traditional values and rebuild honor and pride in native peoples in x healthy earth and the modern world
As an unfortunate statement on humanity’s inhumanity, most indigenous peoples the world over find themselves in various states of disempowerment; and most peoples over the world are disenfranchised from their heritages. Whether from indifference on the part of more powerful neighbors, active hostility from rival groups, or disempowering government polices; the results are often much the sane. Aboriginals no longer control their fates or adhere to traditional values, lands, or religions; and few modern peoples have a clear sense of historic identity and connectedness with the rest of life and the planet. Thu following corrective tools are preferred:
1.) Education. Without question, the most powerful tool in reestablishing cultural strengths and presenting further loss is the appropriate application of open education on all fronts. It is the position of the FID that traditional cultural values can almost always be reconciled with the needs of modern societies, with both sides winning as resolutions occur. We specifically target traditional knowledge and crafts for this effort.
2.) Legal Procedures. When indicated, clients may request specific or class action assistance from the professional legal staff.
3.) Work and career opportunities. OMF and for profit partners preferentially employ aboriginal or native groups in all business ventures.
4.) Physical assistance. Where necessary, food, health, clothing, and housing assistance is available to eligible aboriginal groups.

EMPOWERMENT RESOURCES CENTER
PRODUCTS, PROCESSES, AND PROFESSIONALS FOR EMPOWERMENT
DIRECTOR: STEVE JONES, MS
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
A CONVENIENT SINGLE STOP FOR ALL EMPOWERING NEEDS
Each OMF physical facility contains as an integral part, a brood selection of services and products for enhanced lifestyles. These are available for all in house personnel, OMF members, and walk ins.
The Empowerment Resources Center acts as physical synergist between clients, wellness and empowerment professionals in the professional mall, educational services through Mount Olympus University, and proximate retail services such as the Earth Friendly Store and Eating Well Restaurant. It thus triages the needs of the professional staff and the potential client base so the most efficient utilization of resources on all sides is realized.
A new client coming to the main reception area of Empowerment Resources Center is given a PIN for computer access and completes an entry survey to establish the initial profile. From this profile, the empowerment team is alerted to the expected nerds of the client, and the most propitious course of action begun. Further contact may actually take place in many circumstances via various telecommunications avenues, obviating the need for physical travel to the location itself except when physical presence is essential for the particular healing modality or commodity needed.

OPEN BUSHEL
LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE
DIRECTOR: CAROL POPE
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
A TALENT CRÈCHE
In light of the increasing trend in the public schools, to scale back or even eliminate the artistic/creative talent facets of the human condition, The OMF has chosen to support these efforts for gifted students and masters and for anyone else with the desire to develop a talent, at all Empowerment Resource Centers worldwide with the following services and options:
1.) The standard curriculum at Utah Virtual University and the Rainbow Academy includes classes encouraging all the fine and performing arts, and individual creativity is given the fullest possible reign, credit, and exposure. Larger centers incorporate performing groups end talent academies as free standing entities.
2.) All sites include gallery space for the creative work of local artists and students.
3.) All sites also contain a minimum of a time shared stage & auditorium, shop & support space, and a selection of primitive and modern musical instruments. Studios have high priority in rental and permanent membership. Since talent training organizations are often seriously under funded and poorly managed, talent trades, time dollars, and other non-monetary means are encouraged as means to compensate the Empowerment Resource Center for the use of facilities. Additionally, the staff often contracts management functions, freeing artistic directors to depend all their time in their creative spheres where they are most qualified, and with a strong emphasis on K-16 students with talents needing fostering.
4.) Directors keep records of talent of all sorts within their communities and serve as a public service synergy hub and informational center for talent needs. They are expected to work with local talent agencies as well as independently in a non-competitive atmosphere.
5.) Local directors are expected to maintain a paid professional staff with at least thx following areas of expertise: dance and movement, performing instruments, architecture, painting, sculpture, voice, drama, creative writing, primitive instruments, and children’s performing arts. These may be handled locally by existing organizations invited to join the ERC team on-site, of by starting and fostering new startups as indicated by local situations.

EARTH FRIENDLY
PRODUCTS AND PROCESSES FOR EMPOWERED LIVING
DIRECTOR: DAVE CARD
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
CERTIFICATION AND ECOLONOMIC REPORT CARDS
Earth Friendly serves as the pre-retail outreach and certification division op The
OPEN MIND FOUNDATION. Its purpose is to find and facilitate the marketing of those products for retail sale that:
1.) Have the highest environmental report card.
2.) Have the highest impact on human empowerment.
3.) Simplify lifestyle.
4.) Are otherwise difficult to obtain.
5.) Employ solid Ecolonomic principles in their sourcing, manufacture and end use.
A five star rating requires a score of 90% or better on a scale including all the above areas. 80% earns a four star rating, 70% a three star rating, etc. Organizations may make application as often as they wish, and Earth Friendly will advise on areas where changes will lead to the greatest improvement for the lowest resource output. Generally, the
OMF ecolonomics staff can improve bottom lines while dramatically improving ecologic and sociologic imparts. These ratings may then be displayed in conjunction with the product along with an explanation of what the rating means.
Earth Friendly will not exclusively endorse individual product lines except where clearly exceptional values and impact exist, and promotes a non-competitive mode in all of its for-profit recipients. Inquiries coming to Earth Friendly concerning individual product lines and processes will be researched and responded to with no product or company bias, and as a public service based on the best information the Earth Friendly staff and associates can obtain. All physical retail outlets, Internet marketing pages, educational institutions, catalogue sales organizations, and virtually any type of business desiring an Earth Friendly seal of approval for their organization, process, or product may contact Earth Friendly for application forms at: 393 South 2650 West, SLC, UT 84104, or at the Web Site at
www.omfglobal.org.

WELLNESS ENHANCEMENT ORGANIZATION
DIRECTOR: STEVE JONES, MS
Introductory Principles
As John Naisbitt correctly predicted in Megatrends, the inroads of High Technology on and in our personal lives has led to a backlash of “High Touch” services and products.
No where is this trend more pronounced than in the Wellness and Empowerment fields. The modern Western medical model, with its increasing reliance op
sub specialization and technology, has followed the High Tech route to the point where vast numbers of system users (no longer “patient”) are defecting to models where empathic touch vs still the norm. While this movement has led to significant cost savings over current allopathic models, greater health through greater awareness of options, and a resurgence of interest in “primitive” or “alternative” health forms; it has also led to a great deal of antagonism between various camps and fanaticisms that severely limits access to therapies and forms not within their present paradigms.
The High Touch program at The OPEN MIND FOUNDATION walks the line in synergy between all factions in this state of affairs. A High Touch approach to all things is essential, but this does not entail a denial of the efficacy of the scientific advances of she past decades or centuries. Therefore, we have chosen to integrate the services of a great variety of heretofore independent or even conflicting services into a package that offers the best of all worlds into a whole that is simultaneously inexpensive and effective beyond anything experienced before.
The High Touch approach to corporate and individual Wellness embraces a paradigm level above the Traditional Wellness program. Try these A, B, C’s in comparison to present programs:
Access: A High Touch program aggressively pursues access to the broadest possible base of health and empowerment professionals: Acupuncture and EAV, Allopathics, Animal Rehabilitation, Art, Autogenics, Biofeedback, Chiropractics, Community Health, Counseling, Dentistry, Developmental Neurology, Educational Psychology, Emergency Preparedness, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Ergonomics, Estate Planning, Futurism, Gerontology, Herbalism, Homeopathics, Hypnotherapy, Imagineering, Kalos, Laboratory Skills, Materials Science Applications, Massage Therapy, Media Development, Mnemonics, Naturopathics, Nursing, Nutrition, Occupational and Environmental Law, Occupational Medicine, Optometry, Osteopathics, Personal Appearance, Pharmacology, Physical Training, PNI, Podiatry, Primitive Technologies, Psychology, Public Safety and Health, Reiki, Siddha Vaiydics, Social Coordination, Social Psychology, Social Work, Sports Psychology, Tai Chi Chuan, Toxicology, Triom, Urban Biospheres, Wellness Financing, and Work Hardening.
All clients are expected to act as the head of their personal empowerment and wellness teams, and remain intimately involved in their own quality care.
Behavior: Recognizing that the largest single factor creating the enormous cost of health and wellness care today is personal responsibility, High Touch places great effort in personalized education and directed Behavior Modification. While this is focused on health and empowerment issues such as substance awareness and lifestyle change, the principles are universal and are applicable to job and task improvement as well as personal empowerment.
We are experts at multiplexing incentive and compensation programs for productive change, in manners specific to the client. No two clients are identical in their potential resources or their population base. We anticipate no possibility of identical programs in non-identical clients.
Cost: In order for a program to be ultimately successful, whether personal, corporate, or national; the bottom line must be worth the effort. Many factors are involved in this effort, of which health care dollar savings are often the lowest in priority. Employee stability, corporate efficiency, lowered turnover, dedication, and sense of family are often of much greater financial benefit than simple health care dollar savings. We at High Torch are so completely confident in the value of our product that we offer u variety of payment options, of which an essentially infinite variety ox permutations are possible and encouraged:
-Percentage of savings. Using cohort studies, meta-analysis, or other professionally accepted methods, High Touch will accept as payment an agreed upon percentage of the saving realized by the client as a result of our activities. In all honesty, this is almost always the most expensive method to the client, though perceived as the most secure since it is baked entirely on performance.
-Up front payment for service. This involves o simple bid for service package that is specific for the client being served.
-Payment in kind. Trades for service or products, Time Dollars exchanges, and other forms of non-cash payments are often preferable to both parties. This method is generally the least expensive payment option, and is generally non-taxable, but negotiations may be resource consuming in their own right..
-Payment at time of service. This service is moderate in cost, cut requires an ongoing flow of cash which can be a bookkeeping nuisance en both sides of the contract. Following the HMO model, usually a client will make a monthly payment to High Touch for services rendered, while individuals make a co-payment of a predetermined nominal amount for every usage of the service.
*All High Touch services are unconditionally guaranteed, and we follow the Oriental payment mode; if we do not deliver as promised, the client has no obligation to pay. And the efficacy of the service is entirely up to the client to determine.
Dedication: High Touch envisions long term relationships in a team sharing environment with all clients. We encourage contact at need with our staff any time of the day or night, weekday, weekends, or holidays. And call us from anywhere at all, worldwide. Our professional triage people are very well trained as Holistic Health Facilitators, and generally hold advanced degrees in this field. At the very least, they are certified Toolbox Therapy practitioners. We will never charge extra for off-hour work or abandon a client in need.
Empowerment: The bottom line of the High Touch program is Empowerment and a return to self sufficiency at every level. Therefore, we will use our stable of experts to evaluate everything a client needs and assist in transformations across the board. Look again at the list if team members under Access and just imagine what we can do for you!
Almost always, participation in our programs involves a number of unusual side benefits: academic credit, volunteer cross sharing, and the opportunity to become involved in processes usually considered out of reach for the “average” worker.
All participants in High Touch programs are considered Members of The OPEN MIND FOUNDATION
and are awarded all member privileges, including academic discounts at Utah Virtual University, store and restaurant discounts, facility use, and all other benefits.
First Opinion
The combined clinical, HMO, legal, engineering, and management team at High Touch WEO has come to the unanimous decision that interfacing the High Touch WEO combined Wellness and Empowerment programs with traditional insurance and corporate plans without major restructuring may be quite difficult. For instance, how does High Touch WEO bill for an hour of typical mixed consultation and therapy, when only parts of the hour are covered under even the most progressive if existing insurance plans?
Enter the First Opinion interim proposal.
Simply put, First Opinion places High Pouch WEO in the position of cost savings and efficiency Consultant, rather than Therapist. Though various therapies, consultations, engineering’s, and eclectic researches are universally employed, the only visible entity to a contracting source is thy High Touch facade.
High Touch WEO accepts payment based on bottom line cast savings and efficacy only, with tie actual functioning within the “black box” only as visible as the client chooses it to be, just as any other savings and efficiency consultant would be.
When a client discovers a potentially expensive situation, they contract with High Touch WEO
First Opinion to create better service with a lower outlay of resources than possible before the consultation. High Touch WEO receives compensation either as fee for service or as a percentage of savings; and only if the results are apparent to all parties involved.

CORPORATE EMPOWERED WELLNESS PROGRAM
PREVIEW
The corporate Implementation package targets two primary areas of concern: the organization and the individuals therein, usually in a comprehensive three part methodology (other areas cay be identified as the process goes forward in individual cases):
I.) Major concerns are addressed and recommendations made for those interventions most likely to positively effect the outcome with minimal expenditure of resources.
II.) Potential interventions are targeted that require allocation of resources but still could result in major net gains for the institution.
III.) Those items which are considered useful from a Wellness point of view but unlikely to result in economically favorable results may take many forms or be dispensed with altogether in selected cases.
The ultimate goal of this program oz a corporate level is to reduce expenses by improving corporate and employee Empowerment states to the point where the need for most medical or injury claims is obviated and such claims as are still manifest are less costly in all respects, while efficiency and creative effectiveness are enhanced. The savings generated by this program will be creatively shared among all involved parties, in a won/win/win/win scenario. Additional bottom line improvements evolve as efficiency and empowerment take hold, employee stress diminishes, and a sense of employee family and caring take hold.
PHASE I
(Setup and discovery survey)
Group: For the institution, this phase consists of a professional walkthrough and site analysis by the Empowerment team. We videotape, take environmental and medical measurements, request OSHA and company medical records, and do spot interviews of representative employees. Using this information, we generate the three tier recommendation for Wellness improvements on the organizational level:
1.) Items already or nearly in place that may require only minimal effort or reinforcement to make a major impact.
2.) Items that would be simple/cheap/quick to convert that would be highly cost effective.
3.) Items with doubtful cost effectiveness that could be considered in future reconstruction or education.
Individual: For each individual, a comprehensive Empowerment profile will be produced. As far as is feasible, the information for this profile will be generated by the employees themselves, by billing out simple questionnaires, performing simple physical tests, requesting doctor's statements, and se forth. This profile will be confidential as are all medical records. This profile will be used for the purposes of co-payment, premium, deductible, profit sharing, or other program incentives and can be computer interfaced for update at the worksite on a monthly or even bi-weekly basis.
(Further participation in this process is voluntary on the part of the employees, and is not solicited until after the profiles have been generated and distributed to the employees. It is expected that program enrollment wily be primarily derived from those employees most likely to be able to change their status with guidance and encouragement, thus improving their can retirement packages and cost benefits; and those employees already enjoying a high degree of Wellness and wanting to benefit from their exiting status.)
PHASE II
(Education and counseling)
During this phase, both the organization and the individual employees are educated in courses of action to take in pursuit of higher Empowerment and Wellness states. The incentives for change are explained (enhanced retirement plans, fringe benefits, vacation days, in-house discounts, direct paybacks, lower premiums, higher productivity, awards, service exchange, etc.), and professional guidance offered on the particulars.
One monthly 2 hour seminar is offered for the duration of the contract by the High Touch professional team on subjects selected from those chosen during PHASE I in either the organizational or individual areas. Employees wishing to improve their Wellness status according to their contract (and reap the benefits) in the program are required to attend the seminars targeted to their needs. Corporate issues dealt with successfully by the insured business will result in appropriate savings to the client from the insurer. Insurers can be chosen from the High Touch stable or by the client, or as a combination.
PHASE III
(Implementation and health care)
Once target populations or corporate problems are identified with a continuing or anticipated need for interventionary care, counseling, engineering or construction, predetermined dollar amounts are allocated from the High Touch accounts for this purpose and competitive bidding among qualified professional providers will take place for this service. Usually, this bid will go to an in-house account, but outside bids are welcome. Once bids are awarded, the entire amount awarded is banked against that provider's account, and dispensed immediately as billed by the provider with the agreement of the client shat adequate service has been rendered. The account cannot be overdrawn and the predetermined ceiling will be adhered to, but underutilization results in all concerned parties sharing in the savings. Team approaches to care and construction within the Wellness paradigm is fostered.
The High Touch WEO team will handle catastrophic health intervention or major facility reconstruction when necessary, but works first to reduce the likelihood of such occurrences and provide such triage and counseling as indicated for lowest cost and most effective care; such intensive modes of care are typically reduced over a period of years as empowered lifestyles take hold. Catastrophic care may be handled as presently constituted under the existing plan or au determined from a menu of choices based on available care in the client xerographic area.
All Phases are covered under a single low fee structure usually based on a small dollar amount per employee or family member. These amounts are covered in the accompanying brochure, and will be negotiated as indicated at the time of contract.
